When the Paleo/ Caveman Diet states No Beans, does this also include Green Beans?

After bit of researching, I found that green beans are considered a leguminous plant. That being said, on the Foods to Avoid tab it states: Beans- including string beans, kidney beans, lentils, peanuts, snow-peas and peas. I guess I answered my own question.

But why? I was also thought nuts, including peanuts, were fine to eat???

Here are some reasons that I found:
Legumes (or lentils), by definition, are a pod, such as that of a pea or bean, that splits into two valves with the seeds attached to one edge of the valves.
These are usually outlawed on the premise that most of them can't be eaten without cooking. Much is made of the lectins in legumes, which some people may be sensitive to.
Food groups that advocates claim were rarely or never consumed by humans before the Neolithic (agricultural) revolution are excluded from the diet, mainly grains, legumes (e.g. beans and peanuts), dairy products, salt, refined sugar and processed oils. Furthermore, cereal grains, legumes and milk contain bioactive substances, such as gluten and casein, which have been implicated in the development of various health problems. Since the Paleolithic diet is devoid of legumes, it is free of gluten. The Paleo diet is also casein-free. Casein is a protein found in milk and dairy products, which may impair glucose tolerance in humans.

peanuts are considered legumes, not nuts... the name is misleading haha
