Hi, I just started this diet today. I am fine with everything it wants me do to but I am curious why Beans, peas, lentils, etc. are not recommended. I am currently on a Gluten free diet and these are items that are recommended for me to eat.

I think beans are not recommended because they need processing before you can eat them....ergo cavepeople wouldn't have eaten them. Instead on focusing on what you CANT eat, focus on what you CAN Smiley

I aqm not strict paleo, I eat an 85% paleo diet and I am doing great on it. I love beans and peas and they are often in my diet, they won't run you off the road with this diet if you continue to eat them.

however if you want to nix them and stay strict on the diet then I would suggest using coconut and almond flour for any gluten free baking. and nix the beans, there are a lot of other options Smiley
