G'Day,

I am wondering if you have anything besides a glass of water for breakfast?
Do I have fruit or nuts at all?
Or do I start that around morning tea time?
Thanks in advance

You should be grazing on nuts and fruits  whenever you feel hungry....... try not to think " is it lunch time yet??"......... Cavepeople didn't have clocks remember, so just go by what your stomach is telling you...... little and often is best Smiley

Good luck !!

I follow NikKi's advice as far as the eating goes. The stages are to help you make healthier choices throuhout the day. If you are hungry then eat, unless you have a regular fasting period which you should follow the guidelines for your fasting.

I had a cold not too long ago and found that Honey was a really good way to keep the coughing from getting too out of control. I always had an herbal tea beside me, loaded with honey (I use locally cultivated honey, i feel this works better and tastes better too!).

a tea made from Coltsfoot and Horehound helps with any congestion that you may be experiencing. Fresh ground Pepper also helps with decongestion. added Cherry Bark helps with soothing your throat. I find that Willow Bark Tea helps with aches and pains and helps to reduce fever.  if you're interested, making a Horehound and Honey coughdrop can be very beneficial and can be stored for later use.

http://herbgardens.about.com/od/herbrecipes/ht/Herbcoughdrops.htm  (I know it says use sugar and corn syrup but heres a list of alternatives)

-Stevia - an herbal sugar substitute that is extremely sweet tasting, but has no calories and does not effect blood sugar levels
-Fruit juice
-Unrefined maple syrup
-Raw honey
-Date sugar
-Molasses (blackstrap or barbados)

as far as breakfast goes I make Steak, Egg and Spinach Omlets. Broccoli and Chicken Omlets are good too! Sometimes a hardboiled Egg with bonito flakes (dried tuna) and dried seaweed to replace the salt (this mixture is also called furikake). a mixture of Nuts and Berries also does very well, I like the sweetness of the berries and the nuts together.  Theres endless possibilities! My day usually starts with protien  Smiley

I hope you feel better soon!!
