Hey dude,
I'm in stage 1 second week and I had the same symptoms. I'm still standing Smiley you're probably near your feast time so you should be ok. Are you grazing enough? From what I have read, you don't want to feel depraved of food although, your body doesn't need as much as you think

Take care let us know how you go

Pretty normal if you were use to eating lots of carbs.

Perfectly normal.... it will take your body a little time to adjust.....just drink plenty of water and see how you go.

ok so its now saturday of week one and had a couple of splip ups during the week, which i will definetly avoid in the future as they left me feeling incredibly sick, (note to self kfc for feast even in week one is a very bad idea,). Today i also had my feast at lunch time as a friend took me out to lunch i then decided not to eat my evening meal as i felt that it would definetly be cheating, also went for a jog without any encouragement which is something that has not happened before and whilst jogging i planned running excercises for during the night 6pm, and i dont feel tired from it which im surprised at.

That's fantastic! You're picking up some positive habits and it's paying off! Imagine what you'll be like in a week, a month, a year...

Darksam,
I'm on my 21st day and its getting surprisingly easier! I too have used the stage one to eat some things not on the caveman menu and paid for it. I am able to see foods that not so long ago I would be shoveling in, and I'm not.

The foods I ate mostly and have not touched in 3 weeks are; ice cream, cereal (all times of the day), bagels, pasta of all kinds, french fries, chips, etc.

I have memories of being 185 lbs and full of energy. That's what I want again. I'm down 5lbs. That's about 1.5lbs a week, and I'm OK with that. I'm at 221 lbs, the lowest I've been in a long time.

Darksam I look forward to hearing how you're doing again! Steve

Oh, I do have taste for ice cream. I limited it to have one bar per week. I pick the ones with a dark chocolate. creamy, tasty, delicious, yummy. It's better now though as it was when I started the diet. Before I had a few per day if I had a chance Smiley  Now it's a ritual. An ice cream day.

I haven't been much of a candy or sweets eater for a long time now, as in years, but since I've been doing this diet, my sweet tooth is trying to get the better of me.  Did anyone else have that issue with this, or am I just special (other than my helmet)...?

Same here. I don't go for chocolate and cakes, I'm specialized in ice creams  Huh

At the same time I feel some kind of light muscle fatigue, especially in my upper arms.  i don't do anything extraordinary, just a normal day to day life. Consequently I'm starting to worry that I'm depleting my glycogen reserves.
I wasn't eating much fruit so perhaps this is the reason for all this.

I'm not sure what's up with your upper arms.  Good luck with that though!

I'm hoping my sweet tooth dies down soon, it's killing me and making all of this harder!!  I don't know if it's acting up on a natural cycle, or if it's the diet change, but it's really annoying...! lol

MrChris,
I have never been a sweet eater, but I love ice cream.  I have realized through this lifestyle every now and then I want candy.  To stop the attack, I lay a listerine breath strip on my tongue.  The strips kill the sweet tooth every time!!!!  You might want to try it, they also have sugar free gum that taste like candy.

I don't think I would have ever thought of that idea, but it sounds good.  I'll pick some up tonight and give it a whirl.  Thanks for the heads up...! Wink
