I'm writing to give others encouragement and hope... 2  years ago I badly pulled a muscle in my back whilst martial arts training, add that to a few personal traumas and I decided to do nothing, I put on weight and generally lost interest, not that I am that heavy but I went from 12 stone to 13.5 mostly around the middle, now I like many tried a few diets but none seemed to work and all left me flat, I stumbled onto the caveman diet after seeing Peter Andre "the pop singer" take it on before doing a men's mag front page, so thought what the heck nothing to loose, well I'm not sure why Matt gives his advice for free, but after 12 weeks I came down from 12.10oz stone to 11st 9 oz and not only have I lost weight,  I feel energised,  which has given me the incentive to work out again and regain my fitness, so really what I want to say to anyone is,,,, if It can work for me it can work for you, THANK YOU MATT Oh and last week I climbed a small mountain and it felt great......!!!!!!  Grin

Good ole Peter Andre he was the reason I started on the new way of eating.  I to be honest don't think of it as a diet in my eyes a diet is purely to loose weight and I don't think thats what the caveman "diet" is all about.

But anyways yeah I had tried all sorts and nothing gave any results I was 13st at my peak and begin only 5'10" based on BMI (which can be taken with a pinch of salt) I was "overweight".  I have a very good metabalism as it is so I didn't really do anything different over the last year and I was around 12st4 when I saw Peter Andre on TV talking about the diet.  I think what I liked the sound of was the rare Steak for breakfast Cheesy.  I then did a bit of "googling" and came across this site and thought I would give it a try.
During the day before the diet I didn't eat much anyways I would have on average two slices of toast until I would eat loads for an evening meal so changing to Water (which I drank very little before) and grazing on nuts and berries was great because I was actually getting to eat more then before just better foods.

Within one week of starting the diet I had lost 6lbs WOW I thought that along was great motivation I also took up jogging.  I stuck to the phase1 being very strick and it seemed to work for me.

I have been on this healthy eating "diet" now since 5th July so in 9th Week and as of this morning I weigh 10st12 and much more defind body muscle.

Every morning I have been doing 100 sit ups and an increasing ammount of push ups adding 5 each week.  I am also sorting out a new bike to do cycling every day (12 months ago exercise was limited to nothing).  I am really supprised how long I have kept up with the diet and excersie I guess seeing the scales is the motivation I needed Cheesy.

Further to this I see often on this foruym ppl say "do what works for you" and I have been doing exactly that I haven't been 100% strict on the diet I have eaten rice and bread but nowadsy its in moderation compared to every day (infact maybe once a week now if that).

"As fit as a modern day athlete"
If you suspect that statement to be true, then you'll probably want to know why it could be true. Well, this is what I have devoted my life to finding out, and I want to share with you everything i've learnt, as well as learn from you!
Shut me up?
